The right choice for your Federal Conservative Candidate.
Grounded, Genuine and Determined...
As a proud resident of Elmira for over 18 years, I am standing with fellow Canadians and once again running for the Conservative Party of Canada Nomination in my home riding of Kitchener-Conestoga.
Rooted in a conviction that smaller government empowers and protects individual purpose, strengthens families, enriches community, builds national identity and engages globally.
Rooted in the firm belief that we have a responsibility to respect, protect and serve all Canadians — including our future generations. Not heaping debt and hardship on the backs of our children.
Rooted in faith that while we may not all agree on every topic or belief, many are still better than one when we stand together, united on common ground.
It is these fundamentals that drive and shape my personal commitment to you.
AFFORDABILITY • FREEDOM • COMMUNITY
Why Vote for Carlene:
Carlene is in it for you and your family:
Some politicians want to make headlines and boast about their success. Carlene wants a better future for her kids and for yours.
Uniquely Experienced:
Carlene stood up at one of the most critical and politically charged times in Canada's history when few would. In 2021, she was in the trenches and gained recognition at the doors. Being the 4th closest riding in Canada and narrowly defeated by a tight margin of 1.1% has only fueled her determination.
A common sense conservative from our own backyard:
As a Certified Public Accountant with decades of practical finance and management experience, Carlene will make a great addition to Poilievre's Conservative team. She is ready to bring it home for Kitchener-Conestoga.
Used to hard work:
Helping small businesses thrive is hard, stewarding finances for non-profit organizations is hard, raising a family is hard and standing for freedom is hard... with the new boundary change, it will be a hard race in Kitchener-Conestoga during the next federal election. Carlene is ready for the challenge.
Down-to-earth and ready to serve:
Carlene can represent the values of Kitchener-Conestoga because she shares the values that make this region great.

From rural roots to ensuring financial integrity to raising four kids...
Carlene grew up in the rural communities of Bond Head and Orono, but in her teen years, she lived in Burlington. Her father worked uncompromising shifts at a printing company, and her mother, initially a homemaker, took on administration work at a label company. They now live in the region and are a significant source of support and inspiration to Carlene and her family.
Breaking new ground in her extended family, she became the first university graduate. Attending Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, she pursued math and business. In 2000, she earned her CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation, now known as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant). She worked at a large financial administration company in downtown Toronto overseeing multi-million dollar finance accounts and soon moved to Director of Finance at the YWCA KW.
She's learned what is needed to find and manage success.
In 2006, Carlene put her family first to raise and homeschool her four children. She began providing accounting services to various local businesses, including an international charity, an optometrist practice, a French daycare, and a large crop farm. She also provided support to a firm, assisting with farm taxes.
Since 2021, Carlene has focused her skills in the healthcare sector and currently works at Grand River Hospital.
"Parenthood has made me acutely aware of the challenges of balancing work and family, and I am mindful that today, parents face more struggles than ever!"
Committed Conservative advocate and community champion...
Carlene is soon to celebrate her 25th anniversary with her husband, Kevin. Carlene and Kevin met at their church youth group, married, and moved to the Waterloo region so that Kevin could co-found a small business which has thrived in the region for decades.
In between work and family, Carlene is committed to building community.
She founded the Sprouts Co-op, organized events, and guest-taught classes throughout the region.
Both financial and environmental stewardship and advocacy play a crucial role in Carlene's family life. Along with providing financial counselling, Carlene's family actively participated in regional nature studies, tree planting with Trees for Woolwich, seed collection for RARE to regenerate wild grasslands, and spring-thaw community cleanups, emphasizing the importance of innovation in responsible living.
Carlene's values are rooted in her faith, and engaging with her church community is a weekly priority. She has volunteered as a youth leader, served our local seniors and co-led a small life group.
"I find joy in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and different walks of life. It is energizing to see our community spirit come alive. I am grateful for the richness of Canada's diversity and believe in safeguarding and nurturing our quality of life.
